Youth for Global Growth is launching a program to develop distance online learning!
In the context of the follow-up by “Youth for Global Growth”, with a lot of sorrow, what the world is witnessing today from the repercussions of the spread of the emerging Corona virus “Covid-19”, of which the World Health Organization recently classed as a “global pandemic”. Especially, after spreading to more than one hundred and fifty countries around the world, with injuries exceeding 150,000, and nearly six thousand deaths.
It is now utterly obvious that our world is not only facing a health crisis, but there are multiple risks on every aspect of all the economic and social terms. Especially, after the world came to the brink of an unlimited economic collapse.
Furthermore, the repercussions of the Corona virus have extended to education, as schools are completely closed in about 39 countries around the world, and partially closed in more than 22 other countries. Consequently, it has suspended the learning of about 421.4 million students from schools in the world, according to the latest published data by UNISCO. Therefore, the educational process is now completely threatened with suspension if things get out of control.
This crisis revealed the world’s urgent need to move towards non-traditional education, along with creating alternative and sustainable learning methods, in the case of that crisis persists for a longer period, or the world is exposed to similar crises.
Hence, within the framework of the “Youth for Global Growth” Association with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Particularly, the fourth goal “quality education”, along with its urge to participate in developing alternative solutions for traditional education, and encouraging distance education; The Association has held many consultations with various international bodies to discuss the development of distance education, and to encourage its implementation.
Youth for Global Growth announces that it already developed a program among several other ideas to develop distance education, and we urge all the concerned entities, governments and stakeholders to participate in its development and application.
